Questions to Ask Your Siblings (WOOT WOOT!)

Erin, a friend of mine who has a few sisters, asked me a wonderful question the other night. She said, “Ryan, so you know how to talk to people about relationships. Well, what about siblings. What are some questions to ask your siblings to get to know them better?” Well, I loved that question! Family is everything when it comes to life, love, and more.

Here’s the thing, getting to know your siblings isn’t just about being born from the same mother/father. It’s about getting to know them as a person. Consider this, even as you change—other people change, too, right?

So, take some time to think about how you’re going to develop a relationship with your brother or sister. And how that is going to impact your adult relationship with them. Studies have actually shown that by having a sibling—you’re more likely to be happier!

Conclusion—Questions to Ask Your Sibling

Here’s the thing—based on my own experience… When you and a sibling lose connection, life really isn’t that great. Siblings can be a great grounding source. They can be reliable people to go to when something isn’t going well in life.

And when you don’t have that—it’s like you lose an arm or a leg. You are simply handicap from the potential of having a family network. So my advice is… Don’t lose that connection!

Spend the time to make sure that you and your sibling are growing up together. And that your relationship is changing as you’re turning into adults. And that you spend the time to evolve that relationship and put effort into it! These questions are absolutely a great starting point. And I hope they help!
